Running an old high end PHEV

Anyone brave enough to do this? Panamera Hybrid S look good value but I hear very bad things about relability. I also was ogling this Mercedes S500Le and thinking it was very lovely and I could charge it at the office. But then what happens if something goes wrong with the hybrid system, surely a warranty is a must have on one of these? I then looked and the max coverage you could get from warrantywise on one is £5k which I don't think would touch the sides on a major system failure.
How lovely is this though?

Can't comment on the reliability, the S class looks superb in the pics.
I looked into both the BMW and Mercedes plug in hybrids of a similar age a couple of years ago when fuel prices were getting up to £2 a litre and my owners groups trawl suggested they would typically only do about 15 miles on electric alone which wasn't too helpful to me so I didn't bother.
I guess if you are going to be affected by ULEZ they make a lot of sense
