I have a 2015 one which i have owned from new, it has been excellent, very comfortable & if driven steadily will do 45mpg on a run, also very fast when you want it to be, in 8 years it has never let me down, the only thing to be replaced other than servicing has been two glow plugs a couple of months ago.
My roof squeaked a bit, I put some anti squeak rubber spray stuff i bought off amazon on it & it seemed to quieten it down

A good friend had one for about a year and it was constant niggles but nothing major ,it then developed a weird knocking noise from deep within the block which 2 independents couldn’t get to the bottom of.
He chopped it in before it went pop which his last Golf and A4 did and bought ….
Another VAG car…🙄

We have a Q5, not SQ5 but the same full length Pan Roof which is lovely. However make sure the rain channels all work. Audi in its genius used a connector between the Pan roof gutter and the pipes (4 points at each corner). The connector expands in the sun and after time warps so lets water escape. The water fills the boot (check the rear battery floor) and the front foot wells. It plays havok with the electronics (might also need a new battery at that age, mine did as caused lots of odd errors, all fix with a new battery). I had to take the headliner down on my car as no garage and change the connectors. Simple enough fix and has been fine for the last 4 years.
Other than that these Q5's are like tanks.

I did a lot of research in my (abortive) attempt to buy a 2015 SQ5 a couple of years ago.
About all that I could come up with on the negative side was that the panoramic roof is generally to be avoided as it both squeaks and leaks and the centre prop bearing is a known failure point that's about £1500 to fix properly.
Front discs are also not cheap but that's par for the course with most fast SUVs
In the end I got let down on the SQ5 I actually "bought" and ended up buying a 4.2 V8 diesel Cayenne, a decision I've never regretted.
