308 SW GT?

I remain in the search for a more enjoyable, faster, more dynamic replacement for my Volvo V60 for up to £10k and recently stumbled across the Peugeot 308 SW GT.

These are 180bhp with an auto and I love Peugeots, even with their faults.

Any thoughts/opinions/horror stories for these? Aware of an issue with the ADblue motors needing to be replaced at a significant cost but not much else.

Ideas for other brisk, auto 5 doors that do upwards of 35mpg and costs less than 10k welcome.

If you like the look of the Peugeot, the Renault Megane 205 TCE GT might appeal. Hard to find under £10k, but they occasionally pop up.

They're a good car with no real big issues.

If it's the 2.0 hdi they can have adblu issues, a colleague of mine had his removed and mapped out, and says its the best car he's ever had, but the back end skips around a bit due to the suspension set up.

You are right, it's an adblue motor, so it's another thing to go wrong - that's the main risk with these.

They drive very well, much more lively than the equivalent Volvo V60 as they are a good 150 kg lighter. They have weird interiors that some people hate, so make sure you can get on with it. Should do 45 mpg easily.

What about the petrol version? More power, lighter, faster, can still do 40 mpg. A bit leggy at £10k though
