The time has come for the current family vehicle to go in favour of a newer vehicle.

I'm looking at an Audi Q7 50tdi (Vorsprung) at £41,500 with 50,000 on the clock. I was looking for an S-Line at lower costs etc but couldn't find one with the options i wanted.

Whilst it's nowhere near the league of vehicles a lot of you drive on here, would it be a fair price or am I paying more than it's worth? I'm not in a huge rush to change vehicle but of course the value of my current car will be constantly dropping.

Thoughts please?

Sounds about right to me. Aim for under £40k and hope to get it for £40k on the nose.

You may know all this, but don't overlook the state of the consumables (tyres, brake pads/discs etc) on the car. A fresh set of tyres could be worth £1200 or so, for example.

Thanks. Interest on a pcp comes to nearly £10,000 across a 4 year deal. Gulp. That's absolutely insane. I don't actually think I could bring myself to do that, 13.4% apr!

Is the SQ7 In budget?
Maybe a couple of years older but monstrous torque in the diesel (it went petrol a few years later) and used in the Bentayga I believe

If you haven't already, ignore the dealer's finance deal.
Check in with an independent broker, personally I tend to use Oracle and see what they're able to offer.

I think there is £12k of discounts off a new one and the finance rate will be cheaper so maybe worth a look.

Budget doesn't stretch to a new one sadly!
