I'm seeing trade auctions on the socials where the likes of RRs, RRSs, Mclaren 570s etc are going for very cheap. As we all know, everything is plummeting, but that's not always reflected in the retail prices.

So the question is, how do I sign up to the trade auctions? And do I need some motor related business to be a bidder or can anyone bid?

You have to be in the trade to have an account with one of the big auction houses. The smaller local ones will probably let you have an account but it will only really give you an idea of what is desirable in your area not what is happening in the market.

Also I know which video you're talking about with the 570s, I saw it on TikTok. There was quite a few things wrong with that car not just what he mentioned in the video hence it was so cheap. The RR/RRS are dropping in value due to the insurance issue.

Chances are if it’s cheap it’s cheap for a reason. Lots of JLR production auctions but lots of it is knackered and needs a small fortune spending to bring it up to retail standard.

A lot of the JLR stuff is cheap just because the arse has dropped out of them the really cheap ones have been hoovered up by traders as cheap smokers as we don't generally have to pay additional charges to insure one as your own car. A McLaren on a trade auction oh my you would have to be brave for that. There are numerous outlets within trade for something like that before it would go to the block. Buying a McLaren you would be a fool not to buy one with a retail warranty from a proper trade source who will stand by it.
