Moving to Spain - LHD Used Car Search

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

Thinking of sourcing a used UK left hand drive car (would love a convertible) to take with me to Spain when I move to retire there late summer this year (as apparently I can import it without tax as I have not got a Padron yet -- if I am fast), but I was wondering if you had any advice or suggestions regarding a used LHD car (the prices in Spain are mad for used cars).

I would love to get a mechanically sound convertible for no more than £15,000 and was considering things like the Opel Cascada or even a Audi Roadster
I've looked on eBay and Gum tree, plus some specialist dealers (who charge a premium), but was hoping you guys on here might have ideas or knowledge I had not considered?

Dutch dealers/sellers can be worth trying, plus they often speak excellent English.

you can bring a RHD uk reg car over here and use it for 6 months.
we did exactly that and then paid 1500 euros to have it legally registered in spain …
they changed the lights , put a new ITV (MOT) and dealt with all the paperwork with DVLA etc etc …..

don’t forget you will also need to exchange your Uk licence for the spainish one (once you here)
quite straightforward to do ….
