Got a work pickup currently doing 20k a year which includes school runs etc. actual work stuff is about 12k. I like the truck (Vw Amarok proper one on a 70 plate) and I don’t like the new ones or any other pickups which suit work due to the commercial aspect (vat etc).
So I’m thinking of keeping what I’ve got and then getting a car to do my personal stuff but no idea really what to look at.
Two young children doing football etc do need room for bags etc. I’ve never been a fan of low cars and prefer trucks or SUV’s having previously had Merc ML, GL, Disco and RR.
However I think I want something a bit more fun. My current Amarok is the 3l v6 and it goes when you want it to so I don’t want anything boring engine wise.

Any ideas please to the forum?

Cayenne gts with the v8, I'll admit I'm biased though cos I'd love one. This or a supercharged ffrr...?

Given your preferences, I’d just keep using the Amarok for everything.
I don’t think another vehicle in the form of an SUV would exactly give you a huge difference in experience.

That was my immediate thought; supplementing something big and trucky with, err, something big and trucky.

If the truck is still sitting about and available for the heavy, dirty &/or family stuff, and you have space, and you have money... why not a car that offers something else? If, God forbid, it's sensible shoes time, then something smaller, less thirsty but still good for the bulk of daily duties. If it's fun time then why not something fun?
