Volvo XC60 / V60 XC

Help!
I’m wading into territory I know nothing about.
We have looked at how much my wife’s lease Mercedes EQC is doing mileage wise & it’s not a lot.
About 4000 miles a year.
So the thought was spend about £25k on a petrol car for her to keep long term.
The previous ‘favourite car’ of hers was the F31 320d X-Drive, and a Petrol one of those is on the shortlist.
She likes the current shape XC60 but the V60 Cross Country also fits the bill & looks to be rather nice.
Any recommendations on engine / trim etc or things to avoid like the plague?
Will be buying approved used.

I've had a 2022 XC60 since new, on 25k miles now. No issues. Our first Volvo.
Inscription trim with winter pack, has everything we could want and more. Specifically went for this trim for a balance of equipment, looks, and it has softer suspension and comfier seats (i.e. less sporty) than the R-Design, and smaller wheels and higher profile tyres than Inscription Pro. Good balance of handling for what it is, and nice ride on potholed roads and longer motorway journeys.
In terms of quality, up there with previous Merc E, C and CLS I've owned IMO, and better than previous Q5 which I didn't rate.
Touchscreen is love it or hate it - if you're prepared to use Google voice commands it's a great way round this, intuitive and works well. I would prefer physical buttons for HVAC but it's my only real complaint.
It's not perfect but it is a great all rounder.

Same here 2022 xc60 inscription. Mrs orse’s car thats done 24k. Not missed a beat and she loves it having had an evoque (rubbish and unreliable), an m4 (!!), gla ( smaller than it looks and a truly rubbish engine) and an ecosport (good for the price).
Very high quality and good equipment. Make sure you get one with the pan roof as it is really lovely and the 360 camera is a must as it’s not the easiest to judge otherwise. The blond leather is gorgeous and don’t be put off by wear. Ours looks like new despite the best efforts of our dog , and me.
The adaptive cruise works well and it’s great on motorways. Ok on b roads a bit soft but the ride is good.
I’d buy another and I know she would too - not said that before which says it all I suppose.
