Daughter has moved to London and realised she no longer has a need for her car.
Naturally I am the Chosen One to help sell her lovely 2017 ULEZ-compliant Fiesta....but it has been a few years since we sold a car (versus part-ex) - last car we sold went to Evans Halshaw who offered pretty well top book price!

Checked WBAC/Motorway/EvansHalshaw - all offering very much low-to-mid-WhatCar valuation....

Any suggestions on best place to advertise?

Might start with Farcebook Marketplace (local), but no idea how many shifty souls will respond.....AutoTrader is clearly an option.
Any other ideas?

I assume getting bank transfers for the money, received by her/my bank, will be the best way to get funds BEFORE releasing the car!

Felling slightly underqualified for this parental job hehe

2017 car is too new to try and sell private. Everyone will wonder what is wrong with it, because a decent 2017 Fiesta will be interesting to the trade.

You'll either get ignored or be deluged with silly offers.

WBAC it, take the money, move on.

Definitely not too new to sell privately. 2017 is 6 years ago!

Plenty of demand for a car like that.

AT is your best bet, price it correctly and itll be gone in a week. FB marketplace is mostly for bangers.

What this man says.

Get quotes from Motorway and WBAC. Pitch the asking price between higher of these and what dealers are asking.

Thanks all.
We will give FB marketplace a whirl for a few days, then likely head to AT.

Sold dozens of cars privately, two this year (Alfa Giulietta and BMW 650i)

Never had any more than 2 viewings before selling - genuinely wonder why so many say its a nightmare - certainly not my experience

Use PH, AT and Ebay Motors

Detailed, factual description, lots of photos and priced right (not to difficult to judge)

Generally sold more niche cars that could stick around for a while but generally all been sold within a couple of weeks

This. Also write a good description, reason for sale, check all spelling is correct, and be upfront about any flaws or niggles, so they're not used as a stick to beat you with.
