Hello,

I hope I’m posting in the right place.

I need to buy a car into which I can fit 4 dog crates.

I’d be able to put the back seats down and combine the boot space with back seat space if that makes sense.

Dimensions of each crate:

90cm long x 60cm wide x 70cm high.

Can anyone help me with this?

Many thanks,

James

I thought a Skoda superb estate would be a good starting point as it has a massive load area.
According to the dimensions here:

It would be long enough and tall enough but not wide enough (or not long enough - depending which way the crates are loaded).

Maybe this search will help you find a solution.

A friend of mine who has an army of dogs has a VW Caddy Maxi with a custom made dog cage in the back which can be removed in stages to allow the rear seats to be used if necessary.

So essentially you RR is just the cage.

Do these four dogs need to be kept separate from each other?

Difficult to see how you can do this without resorting to mpv or commercial vehicles type chassis, though I think there are websites that give internal dimensions of car models.

Which one you bought? I am a scholar in need of a superior literature review to use this https://www.grabmyessay.com/literature-review page. I had the chance to look into literature review services recently, and I have to admit that I was really impressed! Their group met and even surpassed my expectations with the painstakingly constructed literature review that they produced. They stand out due to the breadth of their research and the elegance of their writing.

Thank you so much for the very useful information.

I haven’t bought anything yet.

I’ll investigate something like a Berlingo and may have access to a Discovery 3. I may also need to look at using slightly smaller crates. The dogs do need to be individually crated.

I’m very impressed with and grateful for your knowledge.

Look at JDM MPVs, such as Honda Stepwagon and Toyota Alphard. The rearmost seats either flip up, or drop down into a void in the floor, leaving you with a massive load area whist still retaining 4 or 5 seats.
