BMW 635d vs Jaguar XF S 3.0d
Discussion
Hi All,
I am looking for a daily to beat on in comfort and refinement through the winter.
I have budget of 5/6k and have narrowed down my search to the Jag XF 3.0d and BMW 635d. On paper both cars seem pretty similar in terms of performance and fuel economy, but I am after real world experiences from people who have owned or experienced them and how reliable have they been?
I travel roughly 50 miles a day (usually more) on both A and B roads so the 3.0 diesel lump is appealing. With my budget I am looking at cars 2009/2010 with roughly 120k ish miles with good service history being high on my list.
Which would you go for and why?
Thanks

I can't comment on the 635d, but the Jaguar XF has a heated front windscreen which is lovely during winter. However, the door locks can freeze in the open position at -3°C and below, which is rather annoying when you can't close the door until it's warmed up.
XF cabin would warm up fast, from memory I think it had an auxiliary heater.
