I'm looking for a car for my wife, she is coming from several years of EVs but a kid and mortgage increases have made us decided to move from leasing to purchase.

Budget is around £10k but happy to pay less. 2 days a week will be 30 mile round trip and 2 days a week about an 80 mile round trip. So excluding other trips we are looking at about 12k miles per year.

Coming from an EV she wants an automatic, reversing camera and ideally andriod auto/apple car play. Apart from that she isn't overly fussy.

Space requirements are enough space for a car seat and a boot large enough for a labrador sized dog in the boot. Recent cars have been a Renault Zoe which was a bit small and an MG4 which works well size wise. She doesn't want anything massive. I have a Skoda Superb Estate which she thinks is too big.

From a spec point of view I am condifent choosing a car but I am hoping people can offer some guidance of reliability, considering the longer journeys with a baby and dog in the car.

So far we have looked at a Peugeot 3008:

Citreon C4:

Nissan Pulsar:

Her favourite was the C4, especially the panoramic roof but to be honest i'd rather focus on safety and reliability.

Thanks,

Audi Q5? We have one for similar milage and also have a dog, has worked well for us so far. Bluetooth streaming works using Spotify and the hands free is good quality.

The C4 is a good pick they reliable robust & have enough go for the longer runs.

How do you rate the Puegoets in terms of reliability and their auto gearboxes?

They're actually good (Citroen's use Peugeot drivetrains) conventional autos that just work,
