I've seen a car that I like on Cinch, great spec and a very good price.
I'm tempted but really nervous about purchasing a car I am not allowed to view first. I know you can return it but it's still likely to be a huge hassle if I have to do that.
Has anyone used them and how did you find the experience?

Obviously I have no idea what car it is but I will say that Cinch seem to have some connection to Marshall Group, so the car may be at a Marshall dealership where you can go and see it. Cinch had a stunning BMW 4 Series around this time last year which was also listed at Marshall Hampshire BMW as an Approved Used BMW.

Two people I know returned cars to them, and it was no hassle at all.I know you can return it but it's still likely to be a huge hassle if I have to do that.

One of the cars I saw, it wasn't very nice at all. Poor body repairs x3, and a cracked headlight that they refused to fix.
Two points, firstly being the numpty that I am meant Cazoo, not Cinch
That said I exect they both work in a similar way.
My concern about the returns bit is that presumably you have to tax the car and also insure it? That means you are looking at extracting a tax refund from DVLA if you decide to return it and incur fees from your insurer for the vehicle change and subsequent cancellation (which sounds like an utter ball ache).
The other point with this particular car is they will only show you when it was serviced and at what mileage and not what was done. This car needs, inter alia, a gearbox service at 40k and there is no way to find out if this and all other key stuff was done and if the service schedule is up to date before you actually have the car on your drive.
It's very much a leap of faith and whilst the car looks ot be very good value I'll be disappointed if a nail lands on me with all sorts of dodgy 'preparation' repairs and other horrors which can't be seen in the glossy photos.
It's a tricky one for me but I'm viewing two more local cars tomorrow at dealers and will sleep on the Cazoo car for a few days based on what I see tomorrow.

From recent posts on PH, it appears easier to get a refund from Cinch than a dealer!
Isn't it due to distance selling regs which means they legally have to refund you?Don't insure it or tax it, wait for it to be delivered. Give it a thorough look over, test everything inside is working, run the engine on your driveway. If it's a lemon, send it back.
Or.. as I did with Cazoo, bought it, taxed it, insured it, rejected it, swapped it for the same model that Cazoo were selling then didn't have to pay cancellation as you're just making a minor tweak to the insurance within the first 14 days.

I sold my car to Cazoo recently. I asked them if they wanted the paperwork and receipts and they said they'll only have to destroy it. They're only interested in the service record stamps. Mine had a FSH with all the extra stuff included as well such as DSG transmission fluid changes but I guess the new owner won't know for sure.
Edit: Updated due to awful auto-correct.

just write the number plate and service history here, so future buyers can see it from just googling the reg number?Edit: Updated due to awful auto-correct.
