well done. i mean you'd be mad to buy a car that wasn't ULEZ compliant, so... not really sure praise is in order...?
Well currently not everyone needs a ULEZ vehicle, but in my opinion buying a second hand car now you have two options, non ULEZ compliant, then you have to expect it to be almost worthless in 3-5 years time. So amortize it’s cost over that time frame Buy an older ULEZ car and I think you can be confident in it maintaining a lot of that value over the same period.
That’s what I am thinking anyway

Are you 4 up because they just happened to be ULEZ compliant?
If you live near London and are looking at older cars isn't it one of the first search criteria?
I live in Cheltenham but both me and my wife make regular trips to London, and Heathrow etc. Also Bristol has a ULEZ and I can only think more cities will soon. If you live near London and are looking at older cars isn't it one of the first search criteria?

People have been saying the same thing about diesels since the VW emissions thing kicked off in 2015. Still hasn't happened. Despite the scary stories that PHers tell each other about how ULEZ will take over the world and lead to the collapse of civilisation, the fact remains that for vast swathes of the country it is an irrelevance and will remain that way. The ever-dwindling number of non-ULEZ compliant cars that haven't reached the end of their life anyway will find a happy home in the country without them crashing in value.I see your point, when I mean worthless, I mean a grand or two, and not 10.
A non ULEZ compliant diesel is already 5 + years old, so I just think that Diesels 10+ years old and not ULEZ (and their equivalents) will not be selling for very much money.
Not saying they will be purely scrap value, but only a grand or 2 more.
If you compare equivalent diesel and petrol models that are 10 years old, it looks to me that the petrol ones are worth more. This definitely wasn’t the case 5 or 6 years ago

My 15-year-old diesel is somehow ULEZ compliant! A non ULEZ compliant diesel is already 5 + years old, so I just think that Diesels 10+ years old and not ULEZ (and their equivalents) will not be selling for very much money.

Sorry I don't believe you!
show the reg and I'll check on WBAC.
You're right not to. No panoramic roof for a start...£5650

I love the "fully loaded every option" brigade.

"Merson 4 - 0 ULEZ"
FWIW the title suggests that ULEZ has lost when surely it has succeeded in its aim?
Nope, I am the winner, I will be driving around London in my amazing vehicles long after Sadiq Kahn is replaced and investigated for criminal activity FWIW the title suggests that ULEZ has lost when surely it has succeeded in its aim?
