Car history check - how long does it take to update?

Hi all
I saw an ad for a 370z Nismo in March at a Nissan dealership, but by the time I had called the dealer it has already been sold pending finance checks.
The same car has popped up at the same dealer again and I'm still looking a month or so later.
I'll call the dealer later and ask what happened, seems too long to have failed the finance checks so seems likely that the new owner didn't like it or found something wrong which is probably a bit of a red flag - will ask the question but unsure if I'm likely to get an honest answer!
My query is that I've run a car history check, and the new owner between March and April doesn't show up on it. Is there a lag with this usually, or a minimum ownership period before they show up? I'm trying to figure out if it was actually sold or not.
Also, if anyone has rejected a 370 Nismo at a main dealer recently I'd be interested to hear from you!
