BMW F11 535d or G31 530d touring

This is my thoughts having had an E90 330d, F11 535d LCI touring, 4M Q7 facelift and now a G21 330d touring.
Out of the two I’d have the G31 - but it really depends on your priorities.
The 535d is a really great engine and was fast to me, it has strong pull beyond six figure speeds. But the ride was awful on 19” m sport and rarely gave me more than 38mpg.
The G31s are a genuinely nice place to sit and can do 45+mpg at 80mph. They’re quick rather than fast, my two 30ds have noticeable drops in performance above 60-70ish mph which is the reason I continually consider selling.
Adaptive suspension/VDC is essential whichever one you choose. F11 535d in my 30k totally reliable, only known fault you should budget for (if buying a touring) is replacement rear air suspension bags.
