Help: 2+2 coupe suggestions

So I'm looking for ideas from the forum hive mind.
Looking for ideas for a 2+2 coupe for a second car...
- Not necessary hardest core driving experience. Prefer something that's a good cruiser
- Needs to have a bit of style (I get that this is a bit subjective...but not a 2 door corolla!)
- Budget is about 5k
- Has to be a 2+2 for occasional child ferrying
- Otherwise used for commuting a couple of days a week, so needs to be reasonably reliable...
- Ideally ULEZ compliant
Thoughts so far:
- Peugeot RCZ...but it's a bit unreliable by accounts
- VW sirocco ... but it's a bit dull
- Ford Puma 1.7...but...rust. Though if I could find a rust free, treated one?
That's all the ideas I have. Not a stealth fishing request, btw, I just really want some more ideas...

In general they are fine, well put together. It's just (just!) the possibility of engine failures and needing rebuilds. Find one that has recently been rebuilt? Although then you have to know it has been done properly.Also possible that the low torque/high revs engine doesn't suit you- I loved mine, but it is a marmite thing.
And any old car may prove unreliable, different cars, different points of failure...

Dull in what respect? the driving experience, the looks? Are you worried about it being based a Golf, the Golf chassis that was universally praised for being good to drive?Another unusual suggestion would be the Nissan Skyline 350GT, a 4 seat version of a Nissan 350Z !

I'd forget the Puma.
Loved mine to bits several years ago but I'm afraid they all rust very badly. I'd be amazed if you could find one that's not absolutely rotten.
After the Puma I ran a Celica T sport which was excellent. Wouldn't call it refined but it was cheap, fun and reliable and you could actually fit humans in the back. The face-lift cars from 2002 are better as earlier ones, especially the 140, like to drink oil and if they run low they're toast.
I also had an E92 325i coupe. Nice car. It was quite big and heavy and many saw it as a 2 door saloon rather than a proper sports coupe. Very practical though and a great motorway car. If you can get a 1 series or 3 series coupe with the N52 straight 6 it would be worth a look.
I always liked the TT but I'd have a close look at the rear seats if you intend to use them. I'm only 5 foot 8 and can't sit in the back as my head is pressed against the rear screen.
Much as I love coupes I'm in a hot hatch now which I feel makes a better job of blending practicality and performance. Not sure if your budget gets near a Megane rs250? They're labelled as a coupe even though clearly a hatchback. Same with an Astra GTC, you'd get a 1.6 SRI in budget if you went that way.

Always quite liked them. Okay so might not be the most desirable option but it's cheap, reliable, probably a decent cruiser, fairly practical and it's a proper coupe!

I like a good VW as much as I like other good cars from other manufactures.

Hence why I was curious to see what the OP thought might be dull about the Scirocco, how was your experience ??
Yeah, good question. I had a sirocco as a hire car a few times. I guess it just felt like a golf. So well engineered. Good ergonomics. But... not that different from a standard golf. That's not bad. But just not that exciting either.
Caveat though - it was a diesel one, bluetec (or greenline, or whatever). So that might change the experience a bit.
