Interested in getting opinion on the car below, it looks extremely clean and is a great spec apart from one big but, it doesn't have the larger screen. How much of an issue is this?

Mine has the standard screen it doesn’t bother me as I don’t really use it. If you use a lot of apply car play, sat nav etc it may be better getting the upgraded one. Which I believe can be retro fitted anyway if you really want it.

If the rest of the car is right for you then I wouldn't let the iDrive system stop you - Retrofitting is a relatively affordable option, whether that's done by yourself or taken to a specialist to take care of it.

Only you know how important it is to you, for me it was a must have feature as the cost of retro fitting is more than the 'extra' cost of buying one with it already fitted.

pro-nav means prettier maps, split screen capability, 20gb hard drive for media, an additional usb port, touchscreen, spotify integration and probably some other stuff I'm not aware of.

Yeah that's definitely cost prohibitive for me to retrofit. I think I will look for a car with it already.

I've had my 240i for three weeks, and I'm glad I managed to find one with the pro nav, it's really useful being able to have the split screen.

Also as posted above, the engine is just brilliant, loving mine so far.

Shadow edition with heated seats, there must be loads out there like that. Look for one with pronav if that's what you're after.

I find the one linked strange, it has heated seats and HK but not the pronav

I think i read . .the pro nav took it over £40k, which had luxury tax implications.

Was thinking the same- it’s also got folding mirrors

Pronav is always an expensive option especially if the smaller screen does nav, DAB etc

I have it in my X1 though and it really looks the part.

It’s pretty much the perfect spec apart from the lack of Pronav

It also seems to be slightly lower priced compared to equivalent approved used cars. It’s why I wanted to get peoples opinions

Depends on what other options. Mine has HK, Pronav, heated seats and front parking sensors and came in just under £40k

I have a 240i with the smaller screen same as the one in link.and it d9esnt bother me at all, I use the I drive for navigation, Bluetooth streaming etc and it's fine.
Wouldn't put me off if the rest of the car was right but its personal preference.

Out of the car linked,

https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202302164343807...

And this one (personally I don’t think this looks as clean and the tacky badge on the idrive puts me off)

https://www.esplanade.co.uk/vehicles/used/1019550/...

Which would you choose?

I wouldn’t let it put you off too much it’s still a cracker of a car especially in blue.

I’d much rather heated seats than a bigger screen.

Here’s a red one if it helps with the spec you want

I went a bit mad on options but kept it under 40k rrp anyway and couldn’t care less about the pro nav. smile Ironically mine was delivered 2 days before the new tax regime came in so the luxury tax wasn’t a factor in the end.

6 years in this month and no plans to replace it.

I have the smaller screen, use the nav, it is absolutely fine.

It is more functional than the Pro Nav, but it is perfectly useable.

I can’t say I have ever been using mine and thought oh if only I had gone for the pro…

I bought an M135i new and I specced auto, heated seats, upgraded audio but never specced pro nav.
