Forgetting the lead times on a new Emira what would you choose. A new Emira (of any variety you favour) or the best F-type SVR coupe money can buy. Roughly they appear to be around, and I emphasise around, the same price. The best SVRs have little mileage so nearly new.
Which way would you jump?

depends what you want. the Emira is mid-engined and handles very well. more sporty. the SVR has a super eager engine but is a heavy brute that moves around a lot when pushing on. the SVR was laugh out loud comical under acceleration, a great GT, but for driving pleasure I'd choose the Emira/Evora.
According to evo the P450 RWD is the best F-Type spec, they seemed pretty keen on it:

I'm not suggesting that makes it an Emira rival, but if you're torn between the two then the lighter RWD version of the Jag sounds like it might be a tad closer to what the Lotus offers on the road.

I think both are great choices but really depends upon your use - I’d be happy with either. I have a P575 F Type and have Lotus form (albeit not an Emira). It would be the SVR for me because of the loony muscle car aspect but the supercharged V6 in the lotus was fabulous in the Exige I had. F Type super usable as a daily and amusing and ballistic nature easily tempered for normal driving/holidays/general meandering.
