Family wagon- paranoid about diesel

Hi guys

Not sure if I’m paranoid or not, but with the anti diesel Brigade/emission zones coming in everywhere, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea getting a diesel. I live in York and do around 13000 a year, mainly a commute of around 15 miles each way, then longer journeys on the weekend to see family etc.

I’ve got 16k to spend max and I’ve found a nice 320d.

My plan is to keep this for atleast 8 years, which has got me worried. Will euro 6 be getting charged in cities by then?

I don’t travel into cities much to be honest apart from going to work.

What do you people think?

Yup, euro 6 so all good on that front, just wondering when they’ll say euro 6 will be charged!

Euro 7 is coming in in 2025 I believe.
