Mazda 6 Estate 2014 Auto

Evening,

Does anyone own or have past experience with these, particularly high mileage? I'm looking at one which has 170k but regularly serviced by Mazda for around £3k.

Any thoughts or advice on what to look out for would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Rust. Get underneath and poke everything.
Otherwise they look pretty good, and maybe it was just the couple I viewed.

Petrol or diesel? The petrols are pretty bulletproof, the diesels less so.

They only do diesels at that age in the estate version. They've only started doing petrol versions of the estate in the last couple of years so well out of budget.

As autos you mean? A family friend has a petrol estate on a 14 plate so they certainly do exist in manual form.

Sorry, yes I should've added auto estate which are my two main criteria!

Has it had the suspension components refreshed recently?

If it hasn't there could be a sizeable bill coming.

Has the turbo been replaced? Also has the timing chain been changed? At this sort of mileage I'd be looking into replacing the oil pick up pipe too.

Ah ok, fair enough. The manual is quite fun to drive based on my a short drive but I understand if you're set on an auto.

An Accord might work? Bulletproof reliability, great build quality and good to drive.

engine might still be good but the rest of the car will be on its last legs at that mileage
