Issue with 'Approved' Used car from dealership

Cut a long story short :
- Mother-In-Law orders new Mini from main dealer, but due to year delay she changed to Approved used ex Manger Car with 2,000 miles on it, approx 6 months old.
- On pick they said tyres has gone flat in storage, so they were just going to re-inflate, sorry for the 30mins delay etc.
- Over next 3 months the low tyre warning light kept coming on and tyres kept on going flat so she kept on calling them and taking it in to get re-inflated, also inflated with the help of a neighbour.
- Excuses were weather is very hot, its normal etc and she was fobbed off every time by dealer.
- Cut to yesterday when she went in again and they said tyre needs replacing as there is nail in it. She is stressed about the whole experience - broke down in tears at the dealership yesterday about the way they have dealt with her.
- She is now wants to refuse the car and send it back.
Any advice, dealership have been terrible so far and offered nothing, she has not asked for refund yet.

I can only think of.....replace the tyre.
Should your Mother-in-Law pay for this tyre? Highly debatable......I'd say no.
Should she reject the car over a nail in a tyre? No.
Can she reject the car over a nail in a tyre? Probably - AUC almost always have a no quibble return policy.

Thanks - the issue has been with all tyres over the 3 months, not just one, it is very odd. I can only think of.....replace the tyre.

Something very odd here, as all tires should not have this problem on a 9 month old car.
The good news is that wheels and tires are the easiest parts on a car to change.
The garage needs to start with a proper diagnosis - where is the air leaking from. Is a poor bead ? faulty valve seals ? immersion into a bath of water and look for the bubbles - this is the root of the problem - a quick fix over a proper diagnosis.
Don't accept the car back until you get a diagnosis and an actual fix to that problem.

Have the wheels been (badly) refurbed? My Approved Used M140i had one tyre that lost 10psi every 3 or 4 days. Back to the dealer, and turned out to be a blob of paint/lacquer/powdercoat causing a poor seal on the tyre bead.
Annoying that they didn't spot the problem while the car was in stock, but a simple fix for them.
