Smallish petrol car with dog friendly boot £5k
Discussion
Hi
Wife wants a fairly compact car with a boot big enough for a Labrador sized dog. Boot needs to have a fairly low sill. Budget up to around £5k. Needs to be petrol as will do a number of short journeys.
Best option from my research appears to be a Nissan Note, with its low boot floor and sliding rear seat. Budget should get a nice spec under 10 years old with sensible miles, which seems reasonable value in the current market. I'd go for the Mk1 with 1.4 or 1.6 petrol as the 1.2 in the Mk2 appears to be problematic
Any other suggestions please? I'm avoiding VAG petrol products having had experience of the timing chain issue.
Many thanks.
