Peugeot 308 2016 Allure 1.6HDI
Discussion
I've found an 100k Allure for c.5k and am considering test driving it as I return to the office 2 days a week from the end of this month and need a car for two 35 mile each way 95% motorway journeys.
I hoping someone can tell me the French car lack reliability of reliability rumour is just a myth that doesn't apply to newer cars?
Any one run one of these into old age/ big mileage? or am I setting myself up for a fall?
It's either that or VW golf that's around 1.2k more

Thanks pretty much what I was hoping. I've read through honest John reviews since starting this thread and they all speak highly of the diesel.
An alternative is a 150k v40 d2 2014 for 500 quid cheaper 🤔
Though I have to say the newer ulez compliant pug ticks my boxes much better. Not that I live near the ULEZ zone but suspect that it may be a factor in my region at some stage in the next 5 years
