One of these caught my eye
Because of Kahn’s obsession with leaving a legacy at relatively short notice , we have to change our perfectly suitable ( for our needs ) 2015 Tiguan TDI 177ps for a ULEZ compliant car .
This BTW is NOT a discussion about the ULEZ
We like the Tiguan it suits our needs and I am not interested in any other brand . in our searches , we have come across a 2018 2lt BiTDI with around 240ps , as you can imagine it is quite quick .0-60 around 6 sec
My question is , and I would like real experience answers , has anyone got or driven this particular engined car or any VAG car with this engine , and had issues
I understand it is used in some Transporters , but in a different set up .
I know early engines had problems with the EGR which allowed water to enter the oil system , thereby causing excessive bore wear , this car is later than ones with that issue .any other issues ?

Hi
I owned one and its a great car. The amount of torque is fantastic. Loads of space which is something I miss. It was my second Tiguan and I waited to find the Bitdi. Not a lot I didn't like about the car. Long runs mid 40's shorter runs high 30's.

Any specific questions just ask. I only got rid of it as we didn't need such a big car and now that may change again lol.
