Looking to buy BMW 320D M Sport LCI E90, any advice?
Discussion
I'm looking to buy a new car and I currently have my eyes set on a BMW 320D M Sport E90 shape the facelift LCI.
Now I've heard they are prone to timing chain failure but is a specific engine, N47 I think? How would I know what engine they have?
Also I'm wanting one with SAT NAV built in and half of these I've found on Internet don't have them, is it a certain trim that has them?
Also does anyone know much about the Business Edition model and are they any good as they have SAT NAV and the nicer alloys I like.
Thanks

Any E90 4 cylinder turbo-diesel will have the N47 engine with potential cam-chain issues. Now I've heard they are prone to timing chain failure but is a specific engine, N47 I think? How would I know what engine they have?

Which is why I sold my 123d with that engine while BMW tried to ignore the issues before it broke!
Sat-Nav was an option I think, but when it's 10+ years old how useful will it be anyway?
Try and find one with the pro-nav package, as always options are key and very variable and not related to trim level.
Theres a lot of very basic ex-fleet cars out there in the 320D hence the poor options.
I have a 2013 E84 X1 (which is a shortened and raised E91) and its got lots of really nice options and its a lovely place to be and still feels plenty modern enough especially with a £30 map update online.
