For me its generally as soon as I see red leather seats.

I don't know why, but I really don't like them!

Any car with only 2 photos and a one sentence description.

Anyone that’s used screenshots from their photo library. If you are too daft to figure out how to upload photos to an advert you are probably too daft to maintain a car correctly.

I once bid for a car on eBay that had red seats on the assumption that everyone else would skip it. Won myself a cheap and tasty A3 that I used for years!

"Rare" when it's not a rare car. Makes me think the seller is a moron.

"First to see will buy" - then remains on sale for months. Doesn't make me close, but does make me groan.

"Top spec" - but then has base spec wheels/satnav/no heated seats etc.

Cars with really scuffed alloys

I get a bit funny when the dealer spends most of the advert in capitals advertising credit to poor credit ratings. Doesn't feel like it should be the main selling point on 5 figure cars.

When people use pictures with their personal belongings all still inside - think drinks cans in the cup holders, phone charger cables all hanging out over the dash, terrible hanging widgets from the rear view mirror etc.

Red leather seats
Black wheels
Advert written in all caps
No interior photos
Crap modifications
A bunch of random badges that do not belong on the car - e.g. M badges stuck on the boot of non M BMWs
Just needs a really simple part that is allegedly a cheap fix
No mention of service history / maintenance

If the word 'mint' is used anywhere in the advert. Mint condition, drives mint, absolutely minted etc..., I'm out....

Listed as manual, but an auto.

Listed as petrol (or fuel not mentioned) and it's a diesel.

Attempts at keyword seeding to try and show up in searches for specific (usually performance) models. Things like "NOT RS", so anyone searching for RS finds it, but thet aren't technically saying anything false.

That last one particularly gets me, because who the hell is going to think, for example "hmm, yes, I did want the full house awd turbo model with leather etc, but perhaps I'll consider this wheezy fwd tdi stheap instead?"

My Pride And Joy - Yes, especially when all or partially capitalised. I don't care, I want to know about the car and not your emotional attachment to it.

Mint condition! - When it's an 80k mile Mondeo or something else that you just know has the (completely acceptable) stone chips and general wear of an 80k mile car.

Any of those adds with huge walls of text, no usage of paragraphs, lists or anything that make it possible to read and digest the info on the vehicle.
