Small 4 seater convertible

Looking at buying a small 4 seater convertible, would like something with good mpg, a petrol preferable and less than £13k.

Current winner is a 2016 plate 1.5 mini cooper convertible is there anything else i should be thinking of?

Used to have a bmw 240 loved it for the engine but a frugal one would just make me want the stooopid one!

Was thinking of golf, eos or A3 just don’t know much about them ie reliability and running costs.

Fairly sure the 206cc was built by Pininfarina whereas the later gen cars (207/8 + 307/8) were brought back in-house so that Peugeot could keep an eye on build quality.

The Focus CC was built by Pininfarina but I think the 206CC was built in-house

We’ve had a Mini One cabrio (older one not sure the year, maybe 2006) and a Beetle (2015 I think).

The mini was great fun to drive but the overall feel was bit ramshackly.

The beetle was miles better as a car - the Mrs really loved that car, with better fit and finish. Not as pocket-rocket / go-kart feel, even though it was a faster car.

Appreciate I’m comparing an older smaller car with a newer one though. But definitely consider the Beetle, that would be my choice (and the wife’s)
