Purchasing this car should I be wary?

Found a car I want to purchase on Ebay.

Thing is I see a lot of cars listed in various places with this same generic background.

What do you think?

I’ve seen these guys a lot online, from what I can remember they don’t get a good write up.

The background tells you it is a picture taken at British Car Auctions. They use it in their auction catalogue.

BCA library photo before the car has arrived at the dealership.
Not the end of the world as 90% of used cars come from auctions. Just depends what prep work the car will have before you view if necessary.
Zoom in on all the photos to see any flaws, then you know what’s been done as prep work.
But if the dealer is clever they won’t use photos with damage.
Dont ask me how I know ??

As per whats already been posted its the generic BCA auction background, however some cars are in auction for genuine reason, whilst others get pushed in by dealers who know the cars have lots of issues. Tread carefully on any £1800 car, especially off a seller with Zero customer rating.

Based on the clock its been in with them about a month, I’d wonder why
It’s an auto, not sure how reliable those are on that make and model.
Freddy K appears to have had a minor disagreement with the steering wheel
Says it has full service history I’d be checking to see how full that is.
Perhaps consider an independent inspection

Any car with one of those CGI backgrounds in the ad has come through BCA and more than likely it'll be an absolute lemon, so avoid like the plague. I'd also avoid buying cars off ebay unless you know what you are doing.

edit: also the 0 feedback ebay account is a massive red flag

Seems a good price (considering the state of used car prices at the moment), but like a lot of things in life, if you're not happy find another one. #

The address on the Ebay ad comes back to a house in a not particularly nice looking part of Keighley, definitely a red flag.

I'm not sure the BCA picture would put me off, could be awaiting preparation, but every car on their showroom has the BCA pictures, which is a red flag to me.

Odd how this dodgy looking car dealer has a couple of really expensive cars among cheap runarounds, this one has a 2020 RS3 and a 2018 Range Rover in their showroom, both with BCA pictures.

I think I'd find another one.

If it’s from Keighley, definitely do a HPI check and also check previous MOT’s for any mileage discrepancies.

Also check the v5 is genuine and the car has matching identification numbers with the paperwork.

On the face of it it sounds OK. 1800 quid for a Corsa with decent mileage, fsh, 1 owner etc etc.
I suppose once you start to dissect it, this company has an address of a residential semi in Keighley, every ad starts with 'we are proud to offer this stunning...' so means nothing, all cars have come from BCA with fake background, not always a good sign. It would be nice to see a trader making an effort cleaning it up with real pics.
It really needs a closer inspection of bodywork. Service history and warranty etc.
Tread very carefully.

I'm currently looking for a first car for my son & I've seen loads of ads with this generic background & to be honest I just skip past them, if the dealer can't be bothered to even clean the car & take some fresh pictures what else aren't they bothered about?
Admittedly we are looking at cars at a slightly higher price but even then there's a lot of dross out there so I'm taking my time but I have that luxury, feel for anyone who needs a car in a hurry.
