Imported from where?I have a Japanese import and the insurance is higher even though the spec is the same as a UK one, well performance wise, it has an added fog light, immobilizer and so on, nothing significant Parts can be an issue, on some models too and when I bought mine garages couldn't use their plug in computers but that has changed now although don't know if it is the case for all Japanese imports (never understood why you couldn't buy a gizmo to read your OBD output in the UK).
Don't forget it be worth less when you come to sell it although my Toyota has caught up with UK values somewhat now it has become rarere (rarere, preobably spelt wrong, but you know what I mean, anyone want to correct the spelling feel free).
Not sure why that would have had a colour change, it’s. Its not exactly in demand for modifications.

I’d 100% get a proper check like vcheck done and manually check the chassis/engine numbers match.

Mine is a MR2 MK3 at the moment the difference is about £40 (I pay £170 per year with key cover limited millage 3000) but when I was unemplyed it was something like £300 more (I was paying close to £500, it wasa a lot)! Might not have issues with basics like brakes or filters but specific things relating to the hybrid system could be difficult to get hold of.

However there are many saabs specialists out there with a desire to keep things going, whereas the mitsubishi outlander as a hybrid is more complex and probably doesnt have the same support.
whilst in theory the uk parts supplier should be able to get hold of everything, if something is on back order without having service managers etc shouting at people to chase it i can foresee there being very long delays on importing parts which could see the vehicle off road for an indefinite period.
