FFRR price increases after order placed?
Discussion
I wanted to order the new FFRR in November 2021. As the PHEV wasn't priced or even listed on the website, the dealer advised me to order a P400 (with £1000 deposit), then change the model to the PHEV P440e once prices & spec were available on the configurator in February 2022.
The dealer accepted the order & agreement (which I signed in Nov 21), and later approved the finance in Feb 22, based on the newly confirmed PHEV price & APR.
Sometime in mid April, JLR increased the price of all FFRR models, which puts my build at now around £5k more than the figure agreed when the finance was agreed (the APR has also crept up by 0.5%).
With delivery of the PHEV not anticipated until around Dec/Jan, should I expect to pay the price agreed in February, or will JLR be looking to re-quote the finance based on the price at time of (expected) delivery later in the year?
