Coming to the end of a lease with Leasys, and they're arranging for Manheim to collect the car and do the inspection.

Anyone had any experiences with Manheim? (Trustpilot reviews are mixed, but mainly about their buyers)

TIA

Yes, not positive!

My A6 Hybrid was collected a couple of weeks ago, an 18 month old 9,000 mile car. 1 slightly kerbed alloy and a deep scratch on the rear bumper which may well been done by the hand car wash place that morning as I never noticed it, so hands up to those

However, he was inspecting for almost an hour (!) including rolling it forward 6 inches at a time to inspect the tyres in minute detail

Anyway, he couldn't understand why the boot floor wouldn't lift up, so accused me of gluing it down / breaking it (that's where the batteries are mate)
No locking wheel nut key (it doesn't come equipped with locking wheel nuts)
No tyre compressor (nope, no room)
No service book (again no, it's on line)
Missed service (no, the car would have told me)

Eventually he found the tiniest scratch on the front bumper which is so faint it doesn't show on the photo I took

Now disputing with Santander as they've sent an invoice for £352.96. Joy

That’s a nightmare. I have had four end of lease collections over the years and they were all over in a few minutes. This guy must have had some amount of time on his hands to have spent an hour.

Oof, guess he was on commission then?

In fairness, our inspection turned out fine.

Amusingly he pointed out that the car (Alfa Giulia) had a little pre-delivery repair/repaint that we'd never noticed and one of the trim clips for the front valance was missing - presumably damaged in transit to the original dealer?

We were charged for a kerbed alloy (expected) but that was it in our case.
