I made an order for a new BMW 1 series from a BMW dealer at the tail end of next year. It was a PCP deal with a part exchange

Due to a change in personal circumstances i can no longer go through with the order

I have not paid a deposit nor physically signed any finance documents.

The car has still not entered production

Can I cancel?

Short answer: ask the dealer.

Long answer: yes, probably very likely but see the short answer.

More than likely. If its not in a special colour, build or limited edition then there will be no problem in them reselling the build so there will be nothing too lose.

Thanks,

All I have is a New Vehicle Order Form and the paperwork for that. No finance was set up.

The vehicle isn’t due for production next month at the earliest and delivery not until April/May

If I were your dealer I’d let you cancel with no issues and just use the build slot for someone else.

Thats what i was thinking

As i say I haven’t paid any deposit, nor set up any finance agreements etc or sent the paperwork required to apply for finance

From previous experience this was always done nearer to the delivery dare and all paperwork signed on the day

It sounds like you havent got an order,

No finance proposed and no deposit paid, In our world thats not a deal or a confirmed order.

Nothing to tie you to the deal
