Which of the many apps (Android) or websites is best to use for doing a 2nd hand car check, things like its not been written off etc? or does anybody have access to one they could check a car on for me?

The dealers website has a section with green ticks and an amber one on number plate (its on a private plate) but wondered if we could find out what the original plate was.

I would and have used Vcheck in the past. https://www.vcheck.uk/

I've used the code GGCARS and you get a £1 off - not sure where I found that code, but it's worked twice.

I'll give it a look. That's looks to be what I'm after.

V-Check is a good back up for unrecorded salvage but has missed several Cat S cars I have checked but HPI have as recorded. The most reliable check is HPI

I find this strange as VCheck use the same databases as HPI along with some others.

What did VCheck say when you queried it with them?
