We have just part ex this for:
It's a Picanto Shadow edition , I have to say it's a very well built car for the money, SHMBO loves it ,36 month pcp £6500 deposit ,all added extras £79 per month

What's wrong with this? If they have the deposit available, it makes sense to lower the interest paid over the term by putting more in up front. I hate to poke fun, but why on earth did you do that?
Also means they will be in positive equity straight away should they need to get out of the car for any reason.

Unless you want to keep the car at the end of the PCP term, a large deposit isn't needed at all. It's completely dead money, especially on a car that would have had a cheap monthly anyway. Looks a nice car OP in that grey.
Finances are all personal, and we don't know the situation of the OP, however, this deal is mental.
Edit: I just had a quick look at how much these cars are new, £13,000 before any discount. OP would have been way better off with a personal bank loan for the remaining 50% of the car, or even HP (finance rate dependant).

You can get it on 0% interest PCP deals. Bit better deal than a bank loan or HPFinances are all personal, and we don't know the situation of the OP, however, this deal is mental.

It's a nice idea but in reality those 3% loans are very difficult to get. I once tried to get one and couldn't, despite having a perfect credit history.Edited by Networkgeek on Tuesday 25th January 12:39

That looks very striking for that segment.
I’m sure you’ll be pleased to have the warranty after the Insignia woes.
Curious how the Picanto is with road noise, would like the swap the household Aygo for something a bit quieter on the faster roads.

I'm 60yo now and had to take another job at lower money when I was on furlong as I was threatened with redundancy, so want a reliable car with low payments, is that ok with you?I hate to poke fun, but why on earth did you do that?
