Finally got a car.
An automatic Ford Focus 2.0 that has full service history and is MOT’ed until August 2022.
Insurance is ok, I hope with being a 2.0 it isn’t too bad on petrol consumption.
But I’m happy, I’ve agreed to pay £1,250 it’s an 04 plate and done 100,000 miles.

Realistically, from a 2 litre auto, I'd anticipate around 30-35mpg, maybe closer to 40 on a long steady run.Should be a good car to drive. The mk1 Focus handles and steers very nicely, and the 2.0 will have a decent amount of poke.
Keep an eye on the condition of the bodywork and floorpan as they do have a tendency to rust. If it's caught early enough it can be sanded back, treated and protected using paint and underseal.

We may not find out as i think they outed themselves on a duplicate account on Saturday or Sunday.A new user, something like SurreyBoy, popped up asking about buying a cheap car that was at the other end of the country with a similar premise to a couple of OP's previous posts. Couple of posters offered advice, then OP of this thread popped up replying to those posters that it was being purchased for a family member. A user asked how they knew that & said they thought they'd already bought a car (this thread). A couple of minutes later the SurreyBoy account re-appeared replying instead, and a couple of posters called it out as being a duplicate / timewasting / post scraping account.
Tried finding the other thread but it looks like it's been removed (likely due to the above).
