Good thing about long lead time
Discussion
Just doing my man maths to justify replacing my Truck for a Raptor
Been quoted 9-12 months lead time now normally i would buy 6-12 month old one now instead but with 2nd hand prices currently… example the price new for mine at a discount is £46k (with 0% which would be silly not to use) and year old ones are retailing at £40-£43k.
Got me thinking also that that the price of new cars in general seem to be increasing 5% p.a so if I lock in now and order the Truck for £46k by the time it’s delivered it may realistically be worth £50k plus retail.
Is anybody else seeing the positive side of long lead times for mainstream stuff?
Worth mentioning that I have access to other cars including my old Wildtrack so no issues in having to wait.
