Alternative to an Emira

Before you spend circa £70k, what else could turn your head?

Used 911, but can’t get my head around the value proposition. Brand new Emira feels like excellent value, especially the £60k 4 pot AMG option.

There really isn't anything that comes close for the performance on offer

All I can think of is Audi RS5, Jag F-type, Mercedes E53 or maybe even a Mustang GT, but really I don't think any of those would be able to get near to it on anything other than a straight line.

RS3 is turning my head a bit. The wife could get a lot more use out of it, has a nice sounding 5cyl engine and gearbox, great interior and a decent size for the road for similar money.

Not sure I'll be parting with any cash until I see the emira or read the reviews with the AMG engine fitted.

I could be getting the wrong end of the stick here but I wouldn't say a 4wd 5dr hatchback is an alternative to a sports car even if performance and price are comparable.
