Hi guys,

I’m in need of a fun daily for the next 12 (potentially 18) months, as thats when I’m expecting my new car to be ready.

Not a hard and fast set of criteria other than fun and daily drivable, also want something I can minimise my loses on (I know it’s impossible to completely negate it or predict what will happen)

Cars I am considering -

FK8 Civic Type R, GR Yaris (finding one for a reasonable price is unlikely though), Alpine A110, maybe an an Evora could work.

Something like an Integra Type R could work, they seem to hold their values pretty steady.

I’m thinking the Civic is probably the best option, they seem to hold values pretty well. What would you do?

I30N?

They still haven’t dipped below 20k in 3 years. It’d have warranty as well so no nasty surprises.

That’s a good about actually. I thought about the i20n but forget about the i30n. Thank you!

I really like the look of the i20N. Trouble is £25k is a little hard to stomach when I paid just £9k last year for a 2017 Fiesta st3. I'd worry that being brand new It'd lose too much money and there may even be a waiting list as it's bound to be popular.

You can't go far wrong with any 3 year old hot hatch as a daily drive and they always sell well if looked after.

Just get something that isn't going to depreciate, or ideally, appreciate. Z4M, 986, 996, Clio 182 Trophy, Golf Mk4 R32, Alfa 147 GTA, E46 M3, Integra, just to give a few examples.
