Toying - just toying, you understand with the idea of buying a new car......

If i look on autotrader the cheapest new cars cars seem to be 'Business Contract Hire - very often Kinto. Does that mean they are only selling to business buyers? What is so special about Kinto? Yes, I know I could pick up the phone and ask them, but I thought you might know, plus you could give me some pointers.

Kinto is a fleet management company, they exclusively lease cars to companies - If you've got an example advert to post it might help, I'm not sure if you're referring to them advertising deals to lease out to companies or if they're just selling on their ex-lease vehicles to the public.

It generally means prices exclude VAT so look much better than private deals.

Does it mean that they wouldn't sell to me as a private buyer?

Possibly will sell to you as a private buyer, but they will have to add the VAT onto the price (if the price is Business Contract Hire related), so make sure you factor that in.

In that case, yes that's exactly what it means. The car isn't for sale at all - Though I didn't realise AT allowed hire ads to be posted as if they were a car for sale.

Just take a look at the description for confirmation:
