that fake account on eBay
Discussion
I've just seen something about a WRX STI "barn find" up for bidding, pictures of the car, and in the description it states you're bidding for a wheel bolt, and bidding was up to £4500 at that point. Popped up on Faceache and can't find it now. What happens if you end up paying? It does state in the description what it is, but advertised in a misleading way.
Imagine being told I'll deliver it to you, and a neatly wrapped wheel stud pops through the letterbox

Once I got excited to see a particular car advertised before realising it was a scam. Drat!
I have reported a handful to eBay but I can’t be bothered nowadays. They are slow to remove, which makes me think they don’t care. I notice sometimes the bids go to crazy figures
It really irritates me, as I like to look at what the low end of the market can be, and filter by auction listings only, to see how tempted I can be to maybe have a cheeky bid on stuff.I have reported a handful to eBay but I can’t be bothered nowadays. Only positive is that these listings are really obvious and easy to spot.
