Struggling to decide on new car, Help!
Discussion
I currently have a 2014 VW Passat, but it’s starting to give me a bit of grief and I’m wanting to replace it. Had it 5 years and clocked up 140k so I’ve had good use out of it.
Ive been looking online for last few weeks but struggling to make my mind up.
I do about 25-30k a year, mostly motorway driving, so want something economical but not too boring. Like my last car I would be planning on keeping it 5+ years so looking for something reliable for the long term
Would be looking for an automatic. Would have a budget of about £20k, but could probably stretch that a bit.
So far I’ve been considering 3 series, A4s, Kia Sportage and Tiguans.
Any other suggestions, or pros / cons of the cars I have been looking at?
Thanks

Obviously the trick is to spend the least amount for the best (which means low miles/Big Spec/Good Ride/NVH/Reliable & a decent steer) car, which IMO the following are:
Q50 Sport Tech with Adaptive etc

Keeping it RWD I'd also find it hard to look past the Giulia in Speciale 180 spec:

With a budget stretch you'll & some haggling you'll get a 2.0d Kia Stinger with 5 years of Warranty left on it which means a lot of peace of mind:

If you liked the Passat have a look at the Kia Optima Estate. My brother went from a 15 plate Passat (which he loved) to an Optima. He does 20 plus k a year and rates the Kia above the Passat. It th top model, diesel auto, but on PCP with 20k miles a year he got it for under £300 per month. I've driven it and it is lovely to drive, very different form my MX5 but as an ex multiple Passat owner as well I can see why he likes it so much.
