Auction purchase with no service history?

Just wanted to see the opinion on purchasing from auction without a service record.
Where would you draw the line at feeling comfortable? I'm an owner who generally services at least the oil yearly regardless of mileage, so am slightly uneasy with this.
There is an audi q5 at auction, 2017 that has covered 45k miles. Should the fact there is no record ring alarm bells?
Not sure what kind of person buys a 45k car, and then does no services during ownership, not even a running in one(thought they were normally included in the purchase price?!)
Car passed mot in November, and is in very good cosmetic condition if that makes any difference.
Obviously due to the lack of service, it will be a good bit cheaper than one with, so not sure if its worth the risk.

When I had company cars which came with the service package they were not serviced by the main dealer. The lease company had them serviced at all sorts of local garages.
I never received any paperwork and no book was stamped. I always wondered how they managed to show it had been serviced when the time came for them to sell it.

Yeah, no service history as in there is no service book present, and I checked with audi, apparently they have a nationwide db, so you can call any dealer and they can confirm if its been serviced on the audi network and it hasn't ever been in with them.Could be a case of it being done by an indy, and book was lost.
Just can't fathom someone spending that much on a car, to then neglect any servicing.
