£35k, weekend fun, future classic for very occasional track

Thinking when my current lease on my current E class estate ends , swapping it for a new Defender hard top and run it through the company , then buying something fun and nice that I can actually enjoy at the weekend for an occasional road trip / weekend away .

While liking the idea of this I still need to be sensible and can afford or am not willing to loose huge amounts on money on something that is for occasional use. Also something that is not massively common such as 911

So was thinking original R8 manual or Vantage V8 manual. I am thinking both of these have done the majority of there depreciation and may possible rise in value slightly over time. Any other suggestions?

I’d be buying a BMW 1M if I were you. Rare with there being only 450 for the UK market and appreciating nicely. Practical for any road trips, and most of all FUN!

I had a (2006) V8 Vantage and it's my favourite ever. Would have another in a heartbeat, children arriving forced the sale......just fabulous and didn't miss a beat. Actually pretty reasonable to run. Loved it.

My V8 F-Type is up for sale and we did a lovely trip to Italy in it last year. Feels special with its lovely sound and has been absolutely faultless. Can't expect it will lose much money from the £34k it's priced at too!

Should have said I have done the TVR (t350) and lotus thing (Elise, exige, Evora) could easily be tempted back to an evora but the others are too comprised. There is a funny story about going to a friends wedding I the T350 🔥

A chassis that'll give a GT3 a proper run for it's money & then there's the legendary 7.0 V8, these are properly special cars & so rare they've pretty much the same money for the last few years.

Apart from fuel the maintenance costs are less than something like a Cayman & did I say how much of a good steer these are, my uncle only changed his because the GT350R came out.
