Used, High mileage Skoda Octavia Estate VRS Estate Buy / Avo

I am interested in buying a used Skoda Octavia Estate VRS Estate, the 2017 model I have seen is within my budget - it is priced at 10k. However, the reason it is in my budget is because of the high mileage (123k). It has full dealership service history ( I have been sent the info), and the cambelt was changed at 119k miles. It was owned by Lex Auto Lease - so I presume it was an ex company vehicle.

Should I avoid this car, or is the mileage an issue? I don't do a massive amount of miles, but I might be travelling more to holidays in the UK, with COVID for the near future.

Also what other questions should I be asking the seller (its a very small one man band dealership, which also concerns me a little). Thanks for any help. See below service history.

I think as long as its taken care of it'll last a lifetime. I know id much rather have a 120k miles car with full history dealer history and recipts for parts, than a car some years older with 70k miles with hardly any history. I think it depends how long you want it for too, and how many miles you are going to put on it.

The mileage wouldn't put me off in the slightest - it looks to have been properly maintained.
As the above poster mentions I too would rather this car than an older, lower mileage car at the same money.

If you are not doing many miles and plan on keeping the car a few years you'll even the mileage out which will benefit you come resale time.

A good choice I would say, 123k is hardly that high mileage and they are good cars. My experience is that newish high milers tend to be more reliable than older low milers.

It’s a good looking car in black, well specced too, has all the right bits and pieces. A VAG TDI at that mileage is surely just run in? I’ve just bought a 2014 petrol version at 60k for £11k so maybe you’ve got a bit of wriggle room for price negotiation
