So I am seriously considering downsizing and selling both my s600s in order to buy a house frown

Not only is the concept of (briefly) leaving the world of twin turbo V12s depressing enough, but the new ULEZ rules in London mean that it looks like my choices look very, very limited.

Other than being ULEZ compliant and "cheap" (cheaper the better, but 2500ish is the max for a replacement) I don't have any real criteria other than the car has to be "interesting". It's a "weekend" car as I have a van for work, but no personal use unfortunately.

Ironically the only thing I can remotely think of is... Another S class, albeit it a slightly less Bork tastic s500 or something similar. I know the facelifts are all ULEZ compliant (so my V12s are ok, but an old 1.8 mx5 will destroy the planet rolleyes) and a couple of late preface lifts also seem to slip in too.

I've seen Clio 197s around this budget as well as mini cooper s, I wouldn't mind doing the hot hatch thing for a bit but something more bargey would be preferable.

Any suggestions or discussion would be much appreciated

Thanks!
