I’m Sure this has been asked before but need help on choosing the next car! 8k miles per year and want something that’s is fast but doesn’t cost the earth to run, budget of around £30k, ideally a 2018/19 model.

I’ve conclude that my ideal car would be the M340/M440 but still too expensive.

I have two children but wife has a glc so don’t need the space, but do need rear seats for the odd occasional trip.

Can’t be too chavy, but do like something that is a little different,

My list so far is

440i - now old shape and old dash but £5k cheaper than the c43 is there that much difference?
540i - new interior but could be quite boring
C43 - sounds the best, quickest but also the most expensive, will residuals hold
Mustang GT - wife won’t let me
M2 - might be too small, and the running costs I believe are high
E class coupe - great looking car but engine in my price bracket wouldn’t be the fast now
m135 - doesn’t get me excited

Probably should say I drive a 335d now, awesome car just a little dull

Help!!

Is the MPG a killer, and is the power usable?

I know the actual repairs/servicing being a Ford are quite reasonable

Bearing in mind 8000 miles a year, mpg would be pretty far down my list of concerns

If you flex the age criteria to 2017-2018 you'll probably find a few Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglios knocking about
