Recommend Supercar Hire companies that are not a scam?

I'm looking to hire supercars and hypercars in the UK but it seems there are a lot of scam companies, as its easy business to setup and take deposits form people. Can anyone recommend a reputable company that they have used?

Sports Hire in Shrewsbury. Used them to hire a Gallardo and a Caterham, although this was a couple of years ago. They also have some more exotic machinery. Nice guys to deal with, prices were reasonable for what was being offered. No funny business with insurance. I paid the price quoted and that was that!

Also nicely located near some excellent roads in North Wales!

Loads of super car rental companies don't own the car, they just sub rent them. This means that you could end up disappointed on the day if somebody double-books and it often means that the security deposit refund will be delayed because they have to return the car to the actual owner first.

Seconded - hired the Caterham but they have lots of other interesting options.
Great location as has already been mentioned and the cars I saw were in great condition.

(1) I second the recommendation for Sports Car Hire in Shrewsbury. Hired 570s and Exige from them, very good experience
(2) any more recommendations, in particular in the South East?
I’d like to rent 812 Superfast and neither of the 2 firms recommended on here have it.

Thanks but I do 1 or max 2 weekends in supercars a year, I couldn’t justify the membership price.

I fourth this recommendation, just had their 570s for a few days. No hidden surprises on costs, the car was in near-perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically. And while they have 'data monitoring and logging' on the cars, I enjoyed it fairly thoroughly, probably as hard as is sensible on the road in an unfamiliar car, and had no issues, was well able to enjoy it and get a feel for what they're like (fab). A genuine outfit run by genuine fellow enthusiasts, recommended.
