Telling DVLA the car was written-off

I bought a car I was told was CatS from auction and need to submit a V62 for a new V5C now that it's repaired. The car still has road tax 9 weeks after buying it so I assume the insurance-company/auction-house/previous-owner didn't tell the DVLA it was written off.

Has anyone else been in this situation and not mentioned the car was written-off on the V62?

Obviously I would rather the new V5C not mention it was cat listed, but I also don't want the DVLA to slap me with a fine.
