Hi,

I want to buy a luxury SUV with 7 seats. I’m really stuck between a high spec BMW X5 40i M spec and a Range Rover autobiography. Both are second hand and the BMW is £55k and the RR is £59k.
X5 has a nicer interior and a lot more luxuries and tec. Whereas the RR looks really nice from the outside and is nice inside and is just nice to drive.
Facelift RR is 2018 with under 20k miles. The X5 is 2019 with 12000 miles. I also need to consider running costs and resale value.
My head is spinning which one do I buy?
X5 or BMW

Assuming you are talking RR sport and surprised you think the X5 is nicer inside. Prefer the RRs myself. I guess main consideration will be dreaded reliability, RR biggest problem.
However if buying from a dealer you will have the warranty to cover this. However that doesn't cover the time the car is off the road. Drive both and choose the one you enjoy the most.

X5.

If you really wanted a Range Rover you wouldn't need to ask this question.

I had the pre facelift RR before bit had so many problems with it. Then went to an audi SQ7 which was a great car. Just fancy RR but scared I may have the same problems.

AFAIK, a FFRR (Full Fat Range Rover) doesn't come with a 7-seat option? The RRS (Range Rover Sport) does come with a 7-seat option but they are tiny and only suitable for little kids / short journeys.

You need a Discovery for a full 7-seater in the LR range. Also consider Volvo XC90 / Tesla Model X

The 6th and 7th seats in both the X5 and the RR Sport are pretty useless. Only really for 4-7 year olds occaisionally

Agree ... Disco or XC90 and you have proper 3rd row
